About ALIKA
Hi, I’m Alisa, the artist behind ALIKA.
I’ve been working in the arts for over 15 years, starting with classical painting and drawing before moving into tattooing. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Art from the National Art School in Sydney, where I trained in traditional techniques that still guide my work today.
Years of working in traditional art taught me how to understand anatomy, shading, composition, perspective, and colour theory. These foundations are a big part of how I design tattoos that feel balanced, original, and made to suit the body. I enjoy creating custom designs from scratch, rather than copying existing references, and I work closely with each client to make sure their piece feels personal and considered.
I also have a background in architecture, with a Bachelor of Architecture and Civil Engineering. That might seem unrelated, but many of the skills transfer directly into tattooing. As an architect, I learned how to design with form, proportion, symmetry, and negative space in mind. Just like buildings need to work in three-dimensional space, tattoos need to work on a three-dimensional body. That experience helps me visualise how a design will wrap around curves and sit comfortably on areas like arms, ribs, or shoulders. It also gave me a strong focus on precision, clean linework, and fine detail.
I’m currently taking on new clients and happy to work with most budgets. If you're looking for a tattoo that combines artistic experience with technical care, I’d love to hear from you.
